Supporting Multi-Academy Trusts
As a member or manager of a multi-academy trust, you will be aware that there are currently significant numbers of children and young people with speech, language and communication needs who struggle to fully access education, causing difficulties in learning, mental health and future prospects. These needs range from mild or moderate to more complex and severe.
Many MATs use our Speech and Language Link packages to enable pupils’ speech, language and communication needs to be identified and evidenced, targeted support put in place straight away. We do not replace speech and language therapist support but enable schools to make the best use of this precious service.
This is particularly relevant as, in many areas, speech and language therapy waiting times are very long and there is a need for schools, themselves, to deliver interventions directly to pupils. Even for those schools and settings able to access independent or NHS speech and language therapy support, it is clear that this is a limited resource, with not enough speech and language therapy time to support the numbers of children and young people who need access to targeted interventions.
Our Speech and Language Link packages packages are evidenced and include all the resources needed for assessment and intervention. We also offer CPD, a specialist Help Desk, in-package training and opportunities for progress reporting.
