SENDInTheSpecialists 2nd Anniversary
We are very happy to continue our support of the SENDInTheSpecialists coalition and welcome the 2nd Anniversary statement. This highlights the increased focus on SEND, the recent £1 billion funding announcement and the need for the government to work in partnership in order to deliver change.
As we continue our efforts to help schools make the best possible use of the specialist speech and language services that are available, we reflect that a shortage of these services is not new and was the driver for the creation of Speech & Language Link. The magnitude of the problem has however grown considerably to a crisis level and requires a robust and imaginative response.
