Let’s Talk Communication

Ahead of the General Election we’ve joined over 50 other organisations calling for spoken language & communication to be included in the Conservative, Labour, and LibDem manifestos.

The next government must ensure that the impact of the pandemic and the cost of living crisis on children and young people’s education is addressed through supporting good spoken language and communication skills for all. We urge all three major UK parties to seize this opportunity, so all children and young people are able to achieve their potential, both in school and life.

UPDATE: The Invest in SLT petition was scheduled for debate in Parliament on 1st July, due to the general election this will not happen. We support the RCSLT in its continued efforts to highlight the importance of taking action and to press the new government to Invest in SLT:
