We are delighted to announce today that the Speech Link Parent Portal has been shortlisted in the SEND category of the Teach Primary Awards 2020.

Developed by Speech Link Multimedia Ltd (the creators of Speech Link and Language Link) the free Speech Link Parent Portal offers entertaining activities and resources, useful information and news for parents and school staff working with children with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN). It was introduced during the Covid-19 disruption for school staff and parents to ensure that children with SLCN continue to receive personalised SEND support and continues to be available to all teachers and parents.

Across all pupils with SEN in England, SLCN is now the most common primary type of need at 23% of pupils.’ (DfE, Jul 2019)

As a company, we responded immediately to the needs of all teachers, SENCOs, TAs and parents as they supported children with SLCN during the Covid-19 lockdown. To be shortlisted in the Teach Primary Awards is a deserved recognition for our team of speech and language therapists and programmers who worked so hard and so quickly to produce a top quality website of free SLCN resources.

Speech Link Multimedia Ltd produces Speech Link and Infant Language Link for primary and secondary schools. The packages empower SENCos, teachers and TAs in their work with SLCN and indicate the need for further support for the child where required. We do this through screening, intervention, staff training and specialist support.
