Speech and Language Link

Junior Language Link is awarded Highly Commended!

We’re thrilled that Junior Language Link received a Highly Commended award in the Bett Awards 2025 SEND and Inclusion Resources category, and that Secondary Language Link reached the finalist stage!

What is Junior Language Link?

Junior Language Link is an innovative, award-winning online assessment and intervention package used by schools to identify and support children, aged 7-11 years, with language and communication needs. The language assessment is standardised and quick and easy for staff to administer.

To ensure that no child’s needs are missed, universal screening of Year 3 is recommended. Instant results identify which of its small-group interventions are suitable for those with mild to moderate needs and which children require discussion with specialist speech and language therapy services.

The comprehensive package includes training and support from our SaLTs, structured intervention programmes and resources, progress measures to track improvement and materials for families to support children at home.

What is Secondary Language Link?

Secondary Language Link is a comprehensive package for supporting students with speech, language and communication needs and those new to English. The package combines a robust standardised assessment, with planned and fully resourced targeted small-group interventions and a staff training toolkit. This powerful suite enables secondary schools to identify and support the language and communication needs of Key Stage 3 students aged 11-14 years.
