Speech and Language difficulties in the classroom
How do you know?
Speech sound difficulties may be easy to spot but are they likely to resolve? What speech sounds are expected at a given age? To be sure, you can assess with our speech screener.
Language difficulties can be hard to spot. A pupil who struggles academically, doesn’t do what they’re asked or has social and emotional difficulties, behaviour difficulties or skips school altogether may have language difficulties. You can only really know by assessing language with an age appropriate, accurate language screener.
What can you do?
It’s important to know when to involve a speech and language therapist, our assessments will indicate this. They will also recommend what you can do to help, strategies and interventions that you can apply in the classroom for any child needing support.
Each online assessment is packaged with training and resources. The training can be repeated for as many staff as you like, as often as you like. In the full package there is no limit to the number of assessments that can be carried out within your school and no extra charge per assessment. All this is supported by our team of speech and language therapists, available by phone or email every day throughout the school year.
The trial lasts 4 weeks. You’ll be able to administer and view the results for a number of assessments and see a sample of the intervention resources. Our friendly Help Desk is open 5 days a week for any queries. (There’s no obligation and no payment details required for the trial)
